THE 8TH ANNUAL OKANAGAN FEAST OF FIELDS
We are very excited to be pouring Broken Ladder Apples & Hops this year at Okanagan Feast of Fields.
Kelowna’s history is rooted in agriculture with some of Kelowna’s oldest farming families still growing and selling their crops on the same land their ancestors settled on over 100 years ago. With the apple industry experiencing difficult economic times over a number of years, many growers have diversified their crop to include peaches, pears, cherries and plums. A number of forward thinking orchardists are making the leap into agri-tourism offering tours, farm gate sales and delicious apple juices and ciders. Acclaimed chefs have discovered the merits of this sun-kissed city – refined local wines, dedicated farmers as neighbors, and fresh sun-ripened ingredients exploding with taste – and Kelowna’s culinary scene is burgeoning. You’ll run into chefs at the Kelowna Farmers’ Market – the largest market in British Columbia – chatting with farmers who greet them by name.
