A Successful Weekend at The 2018 Okanagan Fest of Ale For BC Tree Fruits Cider Co

BC Tree Fruits Cider Co is excited to be the recipient of two awards at the 2018 Fest of Ale in Penticton BC over the past weekend. The first award was the Judges’ Choice Award - Best Cider for one of our newest keg ciders – “Dad Bod”. This cider is a crab-apple/apple blend hopped with Amarillo and Belma hops. The Judges’ Choice Best Cider award is determined by a panel of 9 industry experts. The second award was the People Choice Award for Best Cider for the new vintage Broken Ladder Pears & Peaches and is determined by the festival attendees.

“Both of these awards are equally important to us” says Shannon Forgues, Sales & Marketing Manager of BC Tree Fruits Cider Co. “We are thrilled by both the recognition of the judges and of the participants”.

Fest of Ale is Canada’s premier craft beer and craft cider festival. In its 23rd’ year, the festival is one of the largest and longest running beer festivals in the Pacific Northwest. This year’s festival saw an attendance of over 5500 people over two days enjoying 65 craft beers and ciders.

The awards will be on display at the tasting bar at 880 Vaughan Avenue. The tasting bar is a great place to taste BC Tree Fruits Ciders, purchase canned cider or fill your growler with special cider creations from the rotating tap.

All Broken Ladder cider remains true to the core with no added sugars or additives. All fruit is grown locally in Okanagan orchards by BC Tree Fruits growers.
