Oliver Cask & Keg

A Night of Celebrating Local Breweries, Distilleries and Cideries
The event formerly known as Night Fog.
Cask and Keg is an outdoor, evening event focused on celebrating the creations from local disitilleries, breweries and cideries. This fun, relaxed evening will be filled with live entertainment provided by Moontricks, tasty morsels created by a variety of food trucks and locally made artisan wares on display by select vendors.

CANCITY will be a 6-hour sampling event in the heart of Vancouver at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza. Guests will enjoy interactive fun and games, beer can art installations, local musicians, and food trucks, while they sip on BC's best craft beer and cider in 4 ounce sample cups.

We will be pouring Broken Ladder Apples & Hops at the event! This all craft, all canned event is going to be an absolute hoot and we look forward to shedding a little light on the updated practices of canning beer and cider products.

Canadian Beer News

Many dry hopped ciders I've tried have suffered from a lack of balance, with hops that are too sharp and aggressive for the base beverage. BC Tree Fruits Cider Co. Broken Ladder Apples & Hops doesn't have that problem - if anything, one could argue that the hops are too subtle, adding just a hint of grapefruit to the aroma and flavour. This isn't necessarily a negative, though, as it allows the elegant fresh and tart apple character of the cider to come through.
